Educational video - Italian output

We are excited to announce the release of a brand-new educational video showcasing the use of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and 3D technology in mathematics teaching! This video was produced following the second mobility of the Erasmus+ project “Digital Math Workshop”, hosted at the “Armando Diaz” Comprehensive Institute in Laterza (TA), Italy.

During this enriching experience, students and teachers from various European schools came together to explore innovative methodologies that make mathematics teaching more engaging and effective. The video captures key moments of the activities carried out and offers practical examples of how new technologies can transform learning into an interactive and motivating experience.

Thanks to the integration of artificial intelligence and augmented reality, participants were able to explore mathematical concepts in a dynamic, visual, and personalized way. 3D applications allowed for a deeper understanding of geometric shapes, proportions, and spatial relationships—making abstract content more tangible and accessible.

The video was designed as an educational and outreach tool, intended to be shared with teachers, students, families, and anyone interested in school innovation. It stands as a valuable testimony of European cooperation, educational research, and a forward-thinking approach to learning.

The “Digital Math Workshop” project continues its journey with enthusiasm, bringing together schools across Europe to promote a more digital, inclusive, and creative approach to mathematics.

Third day of the Erasmus Plus project "Digital Math Workshop" at IC Diaz in Laterza!

The day began with an engaging activity on the search for Pi together with the students of class 3B. Then, our partner friends visited the little ones, welcomed with enthusiasm by the children of the nursery school and the students of the primary school, exploring the historic Armando Diaz school.

Back at the Dante complex, the Italian, French and Turkish students challenged each other in a great mathematical treasure hunt and, with the escape room methodology, solved questions to discover the final treasure!

To close this intense day, a splendid cultural excursion in the magical town of Alberobello! 

MONTHLY REPORT DMW SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS (MARCH 2025)

 

In March 2025, there was a slight increase in data due to the interaction with the posts published, both on the Facebook page and on the Instagram channel. The Facebook page also recorded a slight increase in interactions in proximity to the Italian mobility that began on the last day of the month. Comparing the data for March with those of previous months, it can be noted that in this month the interaction on social channels has improved slightly.

Erasmus KA210 Digital Math Workshop: a day of welcoming and sharing

Today, at the lower secondary school of IC Diaz in Laterza, we kicked off the first day of the *Erasmus KA210 Digital Math Workshop* project together with our partners from France, Belgium and Turkey. 

The morning began with a special welcome: the students of the music course performed the national anthems of each host country, followed by the institutional greeting of our Headmaster, Prof. Nicola Latorrata. The enthusiasm was palpable in the corridors, with many curious students eager to welcome our guests! 

We then continued with knowledge games, the presentation of multimedia works created by our students to tell the story of the Italian school system, the city of Laterza, its traditions and its splendid ravine. The heart of the morning was a workshop dedicated to the common values ​​of the European Union, with the creation of slogans and representative flags. 

 After a convivial lunch, the afternoon was dedicated to discovering the historic center of Laterza, with a walk through alleys, monuments and testimonies of our thousand-year history. 

A sincere thank you to all the teachers and students who made this wonderful day possible! The project is just beginning, and we are excited to continue this path of growth and cultural exchange together!
